1498 > Erasmus finds his first sponsor in William Mountjoy, 19, who accommodates him and spoils him. They will leave in June, 1499 for England, where Erasmus will stay until January, 1500
1525 > Death in London of Thomas Linacre physician and priest. More, with Bishops Stokesley and Tunstal, administer the funds he left for a medical Chair in Oxford and Cambridge. Tunstal, in its will, will ask to be buried in St Paul's near his " old friend Master Linacre "
